The return of leather fashion accessories
For 7 thousand years the most used material (besides cotton) to create our clothing and accessories
For centuries the skin has given us coats of a certain level. In certain periods classified as luxury and high quality manufacturing.
At the time of the stone it was a highly available material which was used for the creation of garments, beds, accessories and construction elements (such as laces and ropes and tents) or for covering weapons and means of war (such as covers for war shields and coating of sword handles and spear shafts).
Be that as it may… Years and centuries later, as a material, it never fades and will never fade.
To date it is sought after by many boys and “kids” of the old century. Vintage clothing is highly sought after, not only for their fine leather, but also for the “cut”.
In general the leather jacket was born in 1913 in America, the leather jacket (known as Chiodo) is made famous only 15 years later, when the Schott brothers created a jacket with a zip in the middle which they called “Perfecto“, which will become the icon in the biker subculture.
In the 70s/90s clothing items were created with more relaxed cuts, and not slim fit like today or more geometric shapes, consequently very formal.
The more relaxed and less shaped look makes the garment wearable on more formal and informal occasions.
Even the quality of the “vintage” leather is not to be underestimated: Genuine leather, perfumed, untreated, rarely synthetic, very thick, which must be kept with care and polished every 2–3 months.
Yes sir… that is the real LEATHER.
