I promised myself I’d stop drinking coffee in 2023… Here are the first results
Coffee has been present in my days since 2011, but now, I have decided to eliminate it (do not reduce it but ELIMINATE IT)
I couldn’t start a day without a cup of coffee before taking a shower and then going to work.
But I promised myself I’d reduce… if not eliminate coffee from my 2023!
On December 31st I had my last coffee… Yes. It was also a challenge to myself.
Here are the first results (obviously they vary from person to person, for daily rhythms, relief valves, typical days, mentality, diet, etc…) from 1 January 2023:
- Sleep: I can sleep even less than 4 hours a day without being affected during the day
-Hunger: thanks to the 5–8 coffees I drank a day, I was able to digest lunch, snacks and dinner in a few minutes…not hours.
-Stress: I no longer have fits of anger or nervousness, I take life lightly, with all the work scenarios that stress me out during the day.
-Physical health: I no longer have nerve pain in my neck and legs due to the stiffness caused by nervousness due to so much caffeine which affects the nervous system.
-Digestion: Obviously slower but more “natural” and less accelerated.
-Relationship with friends and relatives: I’m not as irritated and nervous as before (even if the blame is partly attributed to my bad temper as well as the coffee)…
-Hand health: I’ve always had a bad habit of eating the cuticles on my hands and nails when I’m very nervous, and I haven’t seen my hands look so perfect in a while!
-Smile: Just like coffee, alcohol and caffeine lead to ruining the enamel of our teeth…
For now I have only noticed improvements on the psycho / physical level. Obviously I will update you on this anti-caffeine experiment!
